Hello Chris!

Good composition. The color of water is... impressive and close to the color of boats. I like the result.

another feast for the eyes... the blending of color tones is simply superb, Chris!

Hi Chris!
I remembered your photo from the thumbnail. You have posted it earlier on TE. I went back to TE and searched for ganges and boats and made sure this was that very one I remember. At first, I thought it's another photo of the same subject, then I saw it was yours :)
The photo is still very interesting to me. This one is sharper and slightly improved one.
Garo

I like colors and contrast. The composition is impressing.

Very nice! Great lighting and composition. I like the "patterns" of the boat. Very nice. JP

Wow! I find this picture really interesting and beautiful! The great quality of that picture resides in the fact that the boats by the way they are placed create the symbol of a fish with the two tales and the body, right in the middle.Poweful picture,Chris! Well SEEN! Bravo! Michel

It's like a fishing boat cemetary :) The the point of view from a high point it's helpfull!

very well composed shot Chris :) this POV is very interesting for boats
i see some of the boats are sinking :)
thanks for sharing

Very nice shot Chris, compostition is great. Focus, DOF & exposure are all well in place. The dominating brown colour gives a feel of graveyard. Well Done. TFS - Sam

Very well seen and captured, I think that you have done a great job with the composition and the colors. Very good work.

Your composition and the almost monochrome colourtones make this an abstract painting. Just add some softening and a canvas-like texture and it's done... Excellent work Chris, TFS.

Very impressive, Cris, and I could not miss it, the good unse of the POV to create a "vue du ciel" image like from one of my favorite Paul Arthus Bertrand who makes great ones from Helicopters.
Very graphic, and the good contrassts help for this great photo.
I like it
Very much
Jean Michel

Very nice shot, Chris! The light is superb and the colour of the water is great (well, not for drinking...) Great point of view as well. TFS!

The color of the water and the sinking boats are really good! Beautifull composition!

Daniel

Hi Chris, This is afunny one. Indeed to get out of tehre will be a bit tricky :))
Well done photo. Good angle to shoot, as if you are observing the scene from far, and having fun with it...
Nice!

Hi Chris,
you have good eye! to find such a geometric figures in water...
I like it, and the title mostly :)

Wow! actually double Wow! Great point of view, and I like the composition too. The colour of the muggy river ties in nicely with the old wooden fishing boats. Congratulations!

That's a cool shot. It looks like some of those boats won't be going at all anymore. That water is kinda gross looking, I think I'd want to be closer to the shore than some of those.

Hola Chris
Superbe image vraiment très grafique, toutes ces barques à moitie coulées et cet eau brune uniforme donnent un très joli tableau
Saludos

I just love the composition here. The boats make a kind of mosaic pattern that is realy wild.

Great work Chris. And the sharpness and color contrast or lack of contrast with water and brown boat is realy entracing...

Hi Chris, this is so beautiful, I had to comment on this one :)

I love the composition, the colour, and the title :)

It's such a great find, the boats flooded by water and the flowers growing in.

Hi Chris !
PERFECT COMPOSITION !
Excellent point of view, shapes... great work !
All the best,
Rui

lively colors & contrast. very good picture.

Your photograhy is fantastic. If I didn't see the year 2000, one would have no clue when it was taken. I'm sure 6 yrs later there has been some change. Ever think of going back?

What an interesting composition, Chris, with the pattern created by the combination of the boats and those predominately brown tones. Great use of the open space on the left in this composition.
Congratulations for being on the front page at the moment of writing this!
Regards,
Andrew.

wow what for a great foto.the perspective and the idee is very nice. very great shot mephistoo

You travel everywhere! the boats look artistically arranged. You do that????? (I am kidding), Very nice, but sad for th epeople who must bail them out now!

Hi Chris, Good crisp and clear photo of everyday life in a Bangledesh river system.
Good clarity and colours. Hyacinth seems to be floating in many of the river systems. Parts of the Mekong were virtually choked with this weed. Murray.

'just love it!

Ben.

Dear Chris,
I would have been happier if you were a Bangladeshi;my brother. However, you seem to be a very talented photographer and its my luck to see you here.
This pic can be shown in a photogtaphy class, nice composition. Please try once to add little space as you like-could be even more beautiful.
Thanks,
Guruprasad

Very nice composition, Chris.

Hey Chris, this photo was on the TL intro page.
What a great shot. A sad image though.
Well composed and displayed
Janice

It makes me worry about those in Myanmar that have been suffering this week after the big storms there. Many will have lost their boats and their lives.

Hey Chris .. just saw this on the TL homepage! What a great shot!! Fantastic perspective and downward view into these boats .. and that milky water. You've composed the shot perfectly IMHO. Love this!
Trudy

Hello Chris,
