[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was shot while I was touring Rudranagar,a remote village in West Bengal in Eastern India. These kids are camera savvy and thus it's hard to picture them. They are too poor even to afford a dress. The potbelied child on the left shows the malnutrition he suffers from.
This photo won the 8th spot in the dpchallenge.com challenge named "Poverty" and is one of my all time favorites.

I like the composition, the tones, and the expressions of the children. It is difficult to see children in these circumstances but we need to be reminded. TFS, B

I like this also. Ever try cropping the tree branch in front, as it catches my eye. Perhaps you can crop part of river and branch. Still a great shot

great shot and subject just show how lucjy we are

Dear Kaustav,

I like this photograph and at the same time please also talk many good things about India and not only the poverty. There are many things that people should know about India. Please promote india. But good picture and it reminded me of my days where we can not dream of good dress.Tks for making me remember my days.

This is an amazing photo. The use of sepia works well.

Hi Kaustav,
I agree with gannu...India is not about poverty..now ppl know india as a power, culture,Strong IT power. you can show nice part of the india also...like i shoot this picture.. and they are happy.
