Getting ready for the Gods

|Elephants form a procession for the puja, a religious ceremony to bless the people. Varkala's holy temple elephant will stand under a shelter and receive gifts of rice, bananas and other treats. The ceremony will have drummers, a fire, incense, gongs, bells, prasad, (holy food to take home), and a tika for the elephant, (a holy red dot on his head). Afterwards, some elephants will travel through the city, blessing homes. The holy elephant will go tot he beach for another puja for the Goddess.|

Hello Gloria, I wish I could be there and see this religious ceremony. I like the man on the right with a big colorful umbrella. I tried a workshop to this image to add more depth and stronger colors. Hope u dont mind,
