[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ulos is Bataknese traditional fabric. It used mostly in traditional ceremony from wedding to funeral. There are some types of ulos, and it has it's own purpose. These special purposes usually for a rare kind. But also there is a kind that can be used for any type of ceremony.

The price of the fabric is not so expensive (although there are some that is) but what more important is the meaning of giving it to someone. Depends on the someone's status on the family structure (it will be too much to describe in here) ulos usually given to show respect to others.

Apa kabar Yan

Is this on Samosir Island in Lake Toba? Good photo-journalistic shot with excellent sharpness & tonal range. Lots of details to look at. Tfs!
