[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Borobudur is a ninth century Mahayana Buddhist monument in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. A main dome is located at the center of the top platform, and is surrounded by seventy-two Buddha statues seated inside perforated stupa.
When I was there last year, paying a few extra dollars at the gate I had Borobudur to myself for an hour before the gates opened at 6am. Very special.

Very jealous, Nico - would love to go to this place and snap a few shots - and would be delighted if there were close to this in terms of quality and atmosphere. Nicely composed, well taken - an interesting photograph.

Hi Nico,

I had to get used to the halo's around the domes. But in some way it also adds to the misty and surreal environment there. I like it in this composition!
