Botanic gardens of Bogor

During my trip through Indonesia I also visited the botanic gardens of Bogor on Java.

Took this shot of the museum building in the middle of these wonderful gardens.

Although I used a Cokin gradual grey filter (G1) I did some PP work to enhance the sky a bit more. Also adjusted levels and curves, brightness and contrast. Resized and sharpened using USM and finally add small frame.

Howdy Hans! Nice view of these gardens! The grad filter perfect for the sky to keep exposure accurate throughout... Nice and sharp throughout too.

Cheers
David

Hi Hans,
A very sharp capture of this Botanic gardens. Perfect PP work to enhance the sky. Nice color saturation. Beautiful reflection in the water and a nice tree to serve as a natural frame to this fantastic composition.
Very neat work.
My regards,

Francis Xavier

When I took a picture of this palace, I really hate that tree in the middle. Could not get any angle without including that on :)... Very nice

Perfect exposure Hansie! NO OE! Love the tones, your levels are spot on. I've enjoyed your photos! I love that bit of pink in the sky!

Hi Hans
Wonderful image with your usual great light management, excellent focus, and elegant composition.
My compliments, mb

Hi Hans,

You don't half travel about!

This is a nice image and your note reminds me that I used to use Cokin filters 30 years ago with my old analogue cameras, not long after they were first made.

I have never thought of using them with my DSLR, as a few years passed in between! This may be the answer to some of my problems with the english sky and weather... I will rush out to the camera shop later today!

Thanks for reminding me...

Regards,

Nigel
