Hello Everyone ,
just back from Ecuador with quite a few photos to present you but have to make room on my filled to the brim hard disc first so meanwhile here is one from diminutive but manageable Vientiane ( well compared to other Asian capitals this one is quite small indeed with a population of roughly 140,000 souls ) It is the capital city of Laos , a country i had the chance to visit while touring Southeast Asia for some weeks in late 2006 . Lots of commercial activity and bustling markets here but some of this activity also takes place right on the streets , a picture taken in late afternoon while photo hunting ,,,, i watched this woman re-arranged her tree-like holder full of colourful objects resembling balloon-like figurines obviously meant for kids. Had a fine light ,
1/320, iso 200 , f/5.6 , curves and sharpening a tad ,
a narrow frame to complement ,
Thanks for viewing ,

Hi Carol,
Long time no see! I have seen many photos from friends who have visited Laos and I do wish to visit some day, it does look beautiful. I can see what drew your attention to take this picture. The colours are just brilliant! Your use of the afternoon sunlight is excellent with a beautiful warm glow visible here. May I ask what you did for white balance in this case? I always struggle with white objects such as that lady's shirt which you captured perfectly. Very well composed with the angles and lines of the buildings in the background.

Heureuse de te revoir sur le site!
Très jolie photo tirée de tes archives!
Le sujet est intéressant et les brillantes couleurs doivent être à l'image de ce beau pays!
Bravo! Annie

Wonderful shot - nice colour tonings with perfect lighting.

Hahaha, that's lovely - I like it very much, so colourful ...
I visited Laos this in April 2008, it's a wonderful country. But I haven't seen this nice lady - I would remember ;-)
Thanks and greetings

Salut Carol.

Merci de nous faire partager.
