Hello friends in TL,

My post for today is a pineapple fruit. This one is the miniature type normally found in people's garden rather than in the farm. Thanks for viewing.

EDIT: The original vertical image in the workshop HERE.

The pineapple (Ananas comosus) is a tropical plant and fruit (multiple), native to Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, and Hawaii. It is a medium tall (1–1.5 m) herbaceous perennial plant with 30 or more trough-shaped and pointed leaves 30–100 cm long, surrounding a thick stem. The pineapple is an example of a multiple fruit: multiple, spirally-arranged flowers along the axis each produce a fleshy fruit that becomes pressed against the fruits of adjacent flowers, forming what appears to be a single fleshy fruit. The leaves of the cultivar 'Smooth Cayenne' mostly lack spines except at the leaf tip, but the cultivars 'Spanish' and 'Queen' have large spines along the leaf margins. Pineapples are the only bromeliad fruit in widespread cultivation. It is one of the most commercially important plants which carry out Crassulacean acid metabolism, or CAM photosynthesis.

Hi Jusni,

Good shot, and a well composed concept.
Excellent lights.

Nice composition mate, good sharpness and detail. Interesting shape in the background, I can't help being a little diverted by it, although it's not a big issue.
Well done

hello dear jusni

excellent closeup of growing pineapple
great pov, good details and lovely bg
good lighting
excellent compo
perfect for the theme

thanks a lot for your kind words about Fruit for Silke

Hello Jusni. Good picture for the theme, I forgot.
Here in Holland, prices of it are cheaper (about 1 euro, which is 5 ringgits) than on location where they grow, think has something to do with export ?
Best regards from Jan

Assalamualaikum Jusni,

a nice shot of this young ananas comosus. i wonder how did the Malay adopt the botanical term to become nenas or nanas.

i'd prefer a vertical presentation in its natural position; it's just a matter of preference - wouldn't have any effect on its beauty anyway.

well done.

TFS & have a great weekend.

Hi Jusni,

I only know the pineapple from buying them in the store, never have seen how they grow.

A lovely addition this makes - thanks!

Jusni Hi:
This is an excellent theme presentation with wonderful POV, color, sharpness and detail. Congratulations, very well done.

I like the freshness of the colours. Having the plant on diagonal together with the gradient in the background creates the feeling that it is an object orbiting around a planet lik a satelite.

merhaba dear jusni
marvellous colours and marvelluos pineapple fruit.wonderful composition and macro.well done my friend.

Hello Jusni
A interesting posting that appears as a toy or a jewel and its size is easily evaluable by the partial spider web hung between the leaves.
The orientation attracts attention.
Best regards.

Hi Jusni,
Wow, first time i'm seeing a miniature pineapple. Very creative angle. Impeccable sharp details, with a wonderful lighting.
Have a nice day.

Hi Jusni,

Pineapples are one of my favourite fruits, along with Rambutans and several others. I actually wanted to photo a pineapple for the Friday Themes but I could not find any nice looking ones.

Your pineapple here however looks gorgeous. I guessing that the pineapple is still young? Good details and colours are clear. Good idea with rearranging the angle of the photo. It looks more interesting this way.
