Hello friends in TL.

Working in a rice field is not an easy task. When you step into the field, you sink down ~6 inches into unconsolidated soil. If your boots are not securely attached to your feet, then you leave them behind when you try to walk. The difficulty of walking is increased by the fact that you should not step directly on the rice plants, but need to step between them. This requirement has caused some novice to lose their balance and fall face first into the field.
Today, the rice field behind my mother’s house started to bear fruit. This field will turn gold in a couple of weeks and ready to be harvested. This shot was taken very late today and I was struggling with the exposure to get the image in good depth. I use the sky for the reading and PP work to get the foreground exposed. Thanks for viewing and have a wonderful weekend. Regards.

Hi Jusni,
The colours are just fantastic here, and so is your POV. The paddy looks like green velvet. In Sri Lanka the paths between the paddy plots are this wide, so you have to balance carfully on it, and most farmers work woth barefeet. This is one of my favourites.

The pov in this picture is a good one, nice and low. I like your composition and the paths through the colorful and hard worked rice fields. The green rice angainst the blue sky works very well. Nice work.

There is an interesting glow or halo effect along the horizon and around the trees that seems to enhance the energy in this image and its rich colors. Clear and well composed, with good details/textures and contrast level. Nice work:)

Hello Jusni,
How I do miss this type of scene. Very atrractively framed. The golden rice and its paddy walk contrasts well with the mighty blue sky. Greetings! Danilo

Hi Jusni,

Hi Jusni,
Nice POV of this field with bright colours, sharpness and light is excellent. I was playing a bit with ACDSee and made a workshop with little changes. I hope you will like it! TFS.

hi Jusni

Good composed view of the rice field, I really look forward to the change of color in weeks ahead, for both morning and evening shots.

Looking at the padi stalks, I wonder what yield efficiency will it give? Where the specie comes from? If you are expert in this area, some useful info like which Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, China or Taiwan specie will be most suitable?

For pp work, perhaps tone down a little the numbers, because I think this is nearer to less-natural color tone. Just my 2cents. Have a good WE.

TFS, bill

Hi Jusni,

Great POV on this photo. This is exactly as how I see the paddy fields that my father tends to here in Sabah. I think I like this photo compared to the workshop version. The photo in the workshop looks a bit over saturated to me. There are so much more details in this photo.

Hello Jusni,

I'm no expert on rice, but it seems to me this field will be ripe soon!
The colour is about to change from fresh green to yellow...
A well composed view of this farmland, an attractive colour palette and sharp fine details!

Assalamualaikum Jusni,

great perspective on this rice field. without the hill & the greenery at far behind, the field would be as far as the eyes can see. well done.

Hi Jusni,

Beautiful shotI like your pov and composition here, where the path spread to two, so which path did you choose? Excellent colours, I like your pp work here too, but I think the "halo" is a bit too much, well.. only the one in between the sky and the land...but that's just my personal opinion, :P no doubt a great shot!

Have a nice day,

woooww.. wonderful.. colours and perspectives are great.. effective and cool capture.. with a good PP job on it!! thanks
ciao Marco

Hi Jusni

They are still planting the rice here in Korea although they did start in April. Good colour & sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Jusni,
Well composed ... I like the lead-in line created by the walkway and the texture the rice field. This field is very valuable nowadays with the shortage of rice worldwide. Good lighting and overall contrast. Well captured and presented with good resulting image quality. Well done! tfs

ps -- My deepest sympathy to the loss of your friend.

I love the rich saturation of this one, and the strong composition - as always, you've done a great job.

Assalamualaikum Jusni
I think I can sit here for the whole day Jusni, as much as I like to do to my parent's. I'd tried giving my hand to them but nothing much can be done as I didn't have a good hand for it - something I really feel bad, and sad about. Sedih ni, tidak berpengalaman mengusahakannya

An interesting angle where you have nice leading lines to a very wide greens. Rich with color and details. Beautiful scenery, very nice take.

Salam hormat

Hello Jusni
The great variety of green hues is quite appealing in this rice field in wich I feel welcomed for a breath of fresh air by the two lead in!
Best regards.
