Hello friends in TL.

This blue moon or the Great Eggfly was feeding lazily by the roadside. One interesting feature of the Great Eggfly lies in its reproduction. A substantial amount of Great Eggfly broods produce only females creating a great excess of the sex where many stay unmarked. As many as 50% of females produce only females from generation to generation, where males are killed at the egg or early larvae stage. The reason for this phenomenon is unknown. However, the wonder lies in the fact that the species flourishes despite of the factor.

Hi Jusni,
A splendid black butterfly here capture from a high POV to let admire the fabulous wing spread of the insect!
Nice blue touches at the end of the wings!

Now that the site is working again , now is the ime to go see some shots , he he , a good one here Jusni , well to be frank i do not have much of an idea to improve your photo some , beautifully sharp and saturated just as is , the blue marks in particular add to the loveliness of your subject , i reckon the butterfly to be not that colorful without , the note is interesting to explain that the species is overrun by females , strangely indeed how they can reproduce and ensure nonetheless the survival of the species , oh well the animal world won't ever stop to impress me ..... great catch my friend,
