The Himalayas, somewhere east of Mt Everest (not visible here) in eastern Nepal. Taken through a tinted perplex window, from a Thai Airways flight, from Kathmandu to Bangkok. Not sure if it's Makalu (8481m) or Jannu Peak (7710m). Maybe even Cho Oyu (8201m).

Simple nature but the blue-tones are making a great shot, also with the mountains "hanging" in this picture, nice Chris !

Hi Chris,
Wow, Himalayas, the highest mountains in the world! You're lucky to view this in a airplane. The color is beautiful. The mountains look spectacular.
Antony

This is a place where I would like go to one day...I like the mountains and the Himalaya is the Valhalla. You captured it very well with the little blue haze...I guess the first mountain is the Jannu peak because the others are more to the Tibetan border. But i like the photo very much.

Jos

Fantastic view! And so well captured. It's nice to see the different layers of moutains and the gradiant blue and finally the highest point in direct sunlight. It must be fantastic to be there! Lucky you :)

Very well done and seen. Take care, Yan

Nice three layer build up to the highest mountains in the world. What a view.

Great photo Chris. The various shades of blue contrast effectively against the white peaks.

The blue tint of the window gives a strange mood to this picture as if the bottom part are are underwater. Very nice composition and a great view of these wonderfully beautiful mountains. Well done!

Interesting shot,Chris! Very good composition!~ However I find that there is too much light in the blue,I did a ws playing with the color balance and the brightness.Tfs! Michel

Hi Chris, The blue tones are very appealing and to see this image it reminds me of what the Blue Mountains could have been in their prime, before being worn down by the element. It is always good to see your aerial photos and this is a very interesting place to have flown over by the look of this, during the day with ideal weather. TFS. Murray.
PS Congratulations of your milestone 100k, very few so dedicated as yourself.
