i was in the garage early one morning, after a troubled night's sleep, when i spotted this scene...

i had on the big boy lens, and knew that the radiance of the morning sunlight on the leaves coupled with a nice depth of field would be good to experiment with :)

with the aperture set at f/2.8, i zoomed all the way in with that heavyweight lens :)

i processed it in lightroom where i cropped it in 5:4 format to get rid of the bottom, and later in photoshop, where i cloned out a subtle distracting element in the background :)

and so, here it is :) hope you like it :)

thanks for viewing :)

Great example of the magic of backlighting Muhammad: A wonderfully simple image with great detail and a strong composition.
Well seen.

In this situation I do use the spot metering as the opposit light makes much contrast of the subject abnd it also reminded me of such shot that I had earlier, here I prefer one stop more DOWN to make dull the centre flare and some more DOF, frame is nice and TFS.

Hello Muhsin, Very well done my friend. The radiance is great. You did well to keep the aperture at 2.8 to separate the background sucessfully. The colors are great and the diagonal position makes this an excellent capture.

Sigh, I'm remotely sad that this image has received so much praise. This isn't your best work (though, I personally adore it, because... well this is the sort of things I love to see.)

What I mean really is- what you've mentioned to me before. All these little frivolous things, get attacked with sensation and praise, and yet when something real/thought provoking (not! just provoking, as in a face or a piece of skin) is posted, then nobody seems to know what to say.

This isn't a bad comment, just a thoughtful one I suppose. Brilliant use of exposure, and I really enjoy this level of depth... nature truly is a marvel... so complex and delicate. Light leads to photosynthesis which again leads to plants, they release oxygen, and the oxygen mixes with hydrogen, forming water that feeds the plants, and also creates the clouds to give the plants a rest and rain... and again! the light dries up the water, and so we start all over again. Beautiful huh?

Lovely my friend, really very lovely. (Have a splendid weekend!)

Hi Muhammad,
a very nice shot, congrats!

Beautiful capture! I love the light here, it's amazing! Great details and excellent sharpness.

Very beautiful catch of the sun touching the leaves. Good background
