Excellent, vibrant and punchy colours in this shot Juliet, with nothing over saturated.
Good focus and depth, and really good lighting.
Excellent tones, especially the skin tones of your niece.

Technically, there's a basic failure.
The shot would have been perfect had you included more of the kayak's reflection in the bottom of the shot, and lost the expanse of "Uninteresting" water above the main subject.
A little more room in font of the kayak too, allowing the boat space to move into.

Some nice detail in the shot though, and like I say, a really vibrant, colourful shot.
For those attributes along with the fun aspect of the shot and your niece's infectious smile, I have to give a big smile back.
