[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the same place as my previous post. It is on Lake Caliraya in Laguna. It is also around the time I took the previous one.

My treatment of the image is different, though. I wanted it to be an expression of what I feel, not merely a representation.

For my camera setting, I used aperture priority at f/8 for better depth and sharpness, and white balance at Cloudy for that orange colored saturated tint.

In post-process, I applied a photo filter on the middle part to simulate a late afternoon glow, subjectively saturated some parts for a more pleasing image, and further sharpened the abandoned house to be the focal point and balance of the image.

Proudly, this is the result of my vision. *smiling silly*

I appreciate the scenery, although I think you missed out here on the colours.
The overexxagerated coulours give tis scene a extrateresstrial look. I feel the lake deserves a more natural approach.

Looking at this photo I can't help but feel it is not what it could be.
You state that your PP was done for a more 'pleasing'image...well for me personally, that doesn't work at all

The exposure to the right is not balaced as to the overall exposure of the photo.

What we do see with your work however is how subjective our artform can be. What one person likes a lot, cannot be everybodies cup of thea. Since weare here on a photo community site, i thought it fit for me to express what I feel about your work.

hello Pierre
is this a painting of VINCENT V.GOGH
so beautiful of colours and very nice
great shot
greeting lou

I am scratching my head here because this pic is AWESOME, a great piece of artistic processing, not MEANT to be realistic at all. I think the artistic value was lost on alot of people! I love this, nice work, very surreal, interesting. I can't believe it has not gotten more attention! Oh well, to each his own! I would be proud of this Pierre!
