[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the best experiences i had at Lagen Resort at El Nido Palawan was their hospitality towards their visitors, you'll never think that you're indeed in the middle of the sea behind a big coral, because their staffs are so warm, they will guide you all throughout, and i think it is also the safest place i've ever been, they will give you life vest every time you'll go into the water, their machineries are well maintained and they even plant their own crops, and even though they are at sea, they do not serve exotic food or endangered species from the sea, coz they are into preserving and protecting the environment as their corporate social responsibility. i wanna go back there.

Hi Allan - not a bad shot of the scenery in Palawan (one of my favourite places), but immediately I feel off-balance with the horizon tilting down to the left!!!

Also it looks as if you've done some PP with the sky to darken it, unless you used a graduated ND filter - I don't think that's needed here as the light levels are pretty even throughout the scene. Just a CP is all you need! The hillside on the right turning black just doesn't look right.

Look forward to some more from El Nido.

I know this spot. I photographed it in January, looking from Dolarog & Las Cabanas resorts on the mainland towards Lagen Island, which is dumbbell shaped, from that pov. The whole area is wonderful. Nice to see it in full sunlight too, as it was cloudy the day I went. Tfs!

I loved the color transitions between the sky and the see..excellent application of gradient.

I think one of the hardest part on seascape is balancing the scene since we have little or no control over of all the elements.

Just minor improvements sir one of which is adding more contrast on clouds, the white boat can balance the scene but NOT to catch the whole attention..gradient tool can also be applied to the sea..

Excellent place, wish my wallet can afford to vist El Nido..until then, I'll just sit back here and enjoy your photos... thx :)

Hi Allan,
beautiful colours and the boat is nicely positioned in the frame, the frame is perhaps a tad to heavy but it works well, the horizon is probably only 1 degree out but it is noticeable
cheers
Jack
