[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I had to go on a business trip to Singapore and Bangkok last month but ended up in Singapore a few days longer due to the flooding in Bangkok. This allowed me to re-explore Singapore a little better. The concierge of my hotel informed me that I needed to visit the Marine Bay at night and watch the light and laser show on the Sands Resort. I arrived there a little early and had plenty of time to find a nice location. During the entire show and took a few photos but also made sure that I experienced the show not only through the camera.

Since this was a business trip and not a vacation, I could only bring along my small camera and a gorilla pod. It does have its limits but it can still produce some pretty good shots. Still it is far from flexible compared to my DSRLs.

Hello Niek,
The science of photonics has made it possible both to produce better quality of night lights as well as to capture it in digitally. And in this image you've beautifully caught assorted colors with precision. Although the left hand side object is little over exposed but overall it's a good compromise to take a charming scene. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Best Wishes,
Inaam

Hi Niek,

A great shot of the building across the water. The colours really stand out against the dark backdrop. Well spotted.

You captured very well the laser lights, and the high light of the base are not overexposed, and pleasant to see. Only the windows of the skyscraper are a bit confused, but the shot is successful.

Elena

Hi Niek,
Very nice photo of the interesting building. I have seen this place on day time photos and I have seen the view from the "boat" pool at the top. This is the first time I have seen a night photo of this structure and the laser show. Pretty impressive. Your exposure is right on the money.
