In Korea, when a famous poetess died, Her followers erect a monument to the memory of her works forever.
Hong Rang is excellent poetess of LeeJo dynasty, 1590s.
Chines characters Meaning of upper gravestone is shown : a Grave of Hong Rang. she loved Choi Kyung Chang who was also famous Poet in contemporaneousness. he is my direct ancestor. But they were not married, after he died she lived at a straw-thatched hut his tomb near. After she dird, Choi's family buried her below Mr, Choi's Tomb. Most of korean admire them as nice couple and a misfortune lovers.
