Nothing in this world is always what it seems as this poor small bee found out! I was searching for back-lit flowers in my mum's backyard when I stumbled upon this little natural wonder. The camouflage of this killer spider is unreal and had I not wondered why the bee was not moving it would have probably passed my attention.

Manual Mode
WB: Fine
I had my Kenko tubes mounted onto my 18-200 to give me some better magnification with a lens to subject distance of 5cm which is better than the .50m the std lens allows at maximum zoom.

Hope you like it and thanks for viewing and your feedback.

Woow that is a great capture, not only interesting subjects but technically very good.

I love spiders and this one is beautiful and amazing... Even the pistils of the flower on top of the spider look threatening while the similarity between them and the spider legs is awesome, not only in shape but also in colour.

Congratulations for this great shot.

Hi Dilshan,

Wow . . I never seen this creature . . You did very well capturing this moment . . Right moment and excellent composition . .
Great shot my friend

Hello Dilshan,

This is an extremely good macro shot. Great capture in a perfect timing.
Indeed unreal camouflage of this spider.
Excellent focus, light, colors and very sharp details.

Warm greetings and best wishes,

Hi Dilshan,
Splendid macro from a non micro lens, here you beautifully captured the core of this lovely flower with good sharpness and details, the lighting inside the flower is well manged which seems to be against light POV,the killer is well camouflaged while enjoying its hunt in a heaven;)very well captured and beautifully presented my friend.

Best Regards

Here you captured a rare moment, with such superb details, Dilshan!

I like the exploding golden color which fills the frame so wonderfully. The complimentary color of the spider also enhances the beauty of the shot. Great work, as always!

Have a nice weekend.

Best regards,

Wow! Now that is some amazing camouflage! Nature is truly incredible. I really like your off-center composition, and the nice clarity on the spider, fly and stamen. Very well done.

Hi Dilshan,

Great macro work, your Kenko tubes helped you capture an interesting scene. Great positioning of the camouflaged spider and its victim. The details are super sharp and the metering looks spot on. When you use the Kenko tubes does everything revert to manual settings?

TFS and best regards,

dear Dilshan,
a beautiful macro picture of the natural wonder but common scene,
yellow flower space is useful for both the bee and the spider in this nature,
as an illusionary view or as a severe view, it is a simple problem of each POV...
whole view is after all very photogenic, as beautiful objects and as natural scene,
thank you for your wonderful shot,

Hi Dilshan...great that you saw this shot and captured it...sometimes you have to know what you are looking at behind the obvious...nice work.
