[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Two potters working "on two wheels". Whew - it took me a while to get this topic sorted out. Here is the result. (Now I can go to sleep.)

Both pictures were taken in two very different regions of Thailand. The potter on the left is from Lower Isaan, Thailand's "rice bowl" in the country's east and one the worst drought-striken (and poorest) regions. The image on the left shows a woman from Ayutthaya, Thailand's former capital, an hour's drive north of Bangkok.

A potter's wheel, as seen here, is a machine used in the shaping of round ceramic wares such as pots and vases.

PP: Cropped both images, straightened the right one, then "stitched" them together in Studio2000, framed and resized

Thank you for your visit!

Hello Cordelia

Oh wow what a superb idea for the theme. I would never have thought of this. Two amazing shots here and absolutely fantastic PP work. Well worth the effort you have made here and interesting notes too.

TFS and for taking the time to do this shot for the theme

kind regards Helen

Hi Chocolate29,
Great addition to Helen them...
Nicely taken and well presented..

Hi Cordelia,
A very original representation of this theme!
I like much the effect of the wheel which disappears in its movement.
Beautiful capture,

Very good capture of the potters at work. And one of the more creative interpretations of the theme.

Wow, Cordelia! - You prove to be a great master of the pp! The stitch is fully inconspicuous until pointed out.
Good presentation of human life in an Asian country.
