[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My contribution to this weeks theme of Men at Work.
My wifes sister and husband [ in photo] farming in north eastern part of Thailand near the Cambodian border. They have three different small to medium sized farming fields for rubber, potato and rice.Up at 2 in the morning off to the rubber plantation to collect rubber tapping from the trees. Cutting, cleaning and trimming also gets done. Returns home about 5 AM to treat and containerize the rubber ready for collection. Quick breakfast and off to the potato fields working in the blistering heat until about 1pm and returning home for some lunch and a quick sleep. Off again at about 3 pm to the rice paddies and returning home about 6 if all went well. He distributes for free about 40% of his rice yield to the elderly and poor in the village. This is what I would classify as very hard working people.I hereby contribute this image to all the similar hard working folk out there.

Farming is a hard work and this is a great contribution to Friday's theme. Good pov and dof with nice details. I like the use of narrow dof. Well done, tfs.

Hi Erwin,

A good photo for the theme, and an amazing note to go along with it. What a hard life he lives, yet he has a good heart and soul to help those less fortunate. Two thumbs up on this one!

Regards,
Werner
