2 days in Bangkok on the way to Cambodia - tried to get out and about a bit into the countryside. Stopped briefly at this floating market about 90 minutes out of Bangkok - and it was brief. Not enough time to find the best spots and the light was difficult.
So - HDR out of a single RAW photo, with exposures made up and down from the original.

A bit of PP other than the HDR - dodging and burning here and there and slight crop!

1/10sec at f5 ISO100 and 16mm for original file

a well managed HDR out of a single shot
enhanced effect by the wide lens
lack of motion blur in most part of the photo although the low shutter speed
love the sharpness and contrast in the bottom area fruits... did you try them? look like small mangoes but i guess they're something else...

Hi David,
A splendid HDR treated photo full of colors, details and interesting things to admire.
An awesome high POV. The color of the water is nicely brought out by the effect, marvelous reflections!
Very neat work, indeed.
My compliments.

Hi David...
Beautiful daily life photo...
Nice perspective and so nice presentation...

I like your POV here in this eyecatching scene, full of colour. The details are sharp and your image gives us an interesting glimpse of everyday life in Bangkok. Well captured.

Fine original POV and excellent dynamic range capture through HDR treatment. Good use for slow shutter speed to capture the relative motion of the third boat on the top of the frame which adds great dynamism to the shot!I love the colour palate and the amazing contrast on offer here- a very fine photo indeed and TFS! I trust you had a good time over there and hope to see some more great shots from your frequent travels to the east.

Very nice. Again, a unique perspective ... vivid colors, lots of interest. Love these daily life shots. Keep 'em coming!

This reminds me of one of my New York City shots of a fruit stand! Nice color saturation and I love the extreme wide angle here! A bit dizzying!! But super sharp all the way to the ends! Well done!

The floating markets are a bit of a favourite for photography and it's easy to see why, they feel exotic, exciting, and for a moment we forget about the hepatitis in the water and just enjoy the colourful sights.

This is a well executed HDR, no obvious signs of the process to me at least, just a shame the bloke in the foreground is looking so dismal. C'mon, fella, you're an ambassador for your country!

happy New year David
You worked so well the HDR...the colors are so good and real. I love market scenes. Happy composition and good daily photo...good and interesting perspective.

Hello David,

What an interesting shot, although the shopkeeper looks anything but interested! The details are sharp and the angle allows us to absorb more of the occasion. Your HDR has enlivened the shot without creating those overheightened colours.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)
I have just read your intro and wish you all the best in your treatment and recovery. On the plus side, my friens's husband had to have stents a few year's ago and has been fine since. x x

Hello David,

POV this makes me dizzy, very original idea.
I enjoy this picture of everyday life because there is plenty to discover :

- the HDR work that enhance colors
- alignment of the boats
- people that energize the picture
- overall aesthetics of the photo

and of course the light and details are excellent.
Beautiful result.

Hi David,
I'm not a big fan of HDR, because the effect is usually quite overdone... but not here! This is really a great peace of work and I think you have a wonderful shot here, with great details and colors.
I also really like the POV and the funny angle... cool shot!

Cheerzzz, Anneke
