[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While on a cruise in the Bahamas, our ship stopped in Nassau for the night. My wife and I were enjoying the sunset on deck (camera in hand, of course), and I snapped off some shots of the clouds, moon and changing colors.

When I examined the photos later, I discovered the jet trail highlighted by the setting sun, aimed right toward the moon. I hadn't even seen the contrail through the viewfinder; I was concentrating on the overall composition.

Levels adjusted in the foreground, sharpened.

Wonderful shot Robert. I like this very much. Good composition and exposure. Thanks for sharing, regards, Jean.

Great shot! Lovely colours and light. Good job on the composition, all your consentration paid off :)
The jet trail is an added bonus to the shot in my opinion. The photo would be spectacular without it.
One could argue that it is distracting and takes away the focus of the actual subject, the beautiful scenery. But I think it adds another dimension to your photo. The fact that you didn't notice when setting up the shot just goes to prove that not everything is as we see it through the view finder.

Hi Robert:
Excellent capture here, and perfect exposures for details all over. I see a jet wizing by too:)
Thanks for the notes.

HA! Nice title and timing. A very good capture.

Hi Robert,
Well done . You had the good timing for this one . I like the composition and the sharpness . Lucky shot or not, you did realise a good picture and I like the results . You are an honest man .

I like your compostion and POV here Bob with the ship bow, moon, oceanscape and jet. It almost looks like a meteorite shooting across the early evening sky. Good post!

Best regards,

beautiful scene! I love the tones. Great sharpness and Nice splash of color on the horizon

Hi Robert, indeed a big plus on the composition with the contrail even if it's by accident ! All the elements work well in your image. Congrats and thanks.

Excellent POV here. I LOVE it! The 18 mm is almost a fish-eye lens! The inclusion of the moon and the jet contrails give this image a GREAT busy feel. Lots to look at and alot to admire. Fine work my friend,

Yes, this one is spectacular, Robert. and I like that the contrail is colored by the setting sun. Nice composition, and the contrail is parallel to the line off the bow, and plays with the "ribs" of the boat as well.

All the best,
