[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Saintpaulias, commonly known as African violets, are a genus of 620 species of herbaceous perennial flowering plants in the family Gesneriaceae, native to Tanzania and adjacent southeastern Kenya in eastern tropical Africa. Typically the African violet is a common household indoor plant but can also be an outdoor plant. Several of the species and subspecies are endangered, and many more are threatened, due to their native cloud forest habitats being cleared for agriculture. Saintpaulia Ionantha has been classed as Near Threatened as shown below the picture.

nice presentation, dof gives the front flowers some pop. Dark background works well. Good composition. Thanks for the view.

Hello Roberto,
Again I am looking for more DOF which would have required a tripod for allowing you to stop down to f11, say, as I am not sure that racking up the ISO rating would have produced adequate definition. Pleasant to view as is but more DOF would have rendered it even better.

Hi,

This is very good but the focus was not spread overall the image. This image shouldn't be a macro.
