I know there is a lot going on in this photo! Busy .. with a lot of colors. But a lot of bright colors is what you will find in Guatemala. This is a little street market that appeared on the street .. I think it was every Saturday. You see one of the local Mayan women has covered her head with one of her artisan fabric pieces, to protect herself from the hot sun.

In the background, you see a ruined building. There was a huge earthquake in Antigua in the late 1770's - it was the capital city at that time. Many of the damaged buildings were left just as they were. This city has been designated as a UNESCO world heritage site. So interesting to see.

If you ever get a chance to visit Guatemala, do not pass it up!!

Hi Trudy,
An indigestion of colorful objects and so many to admire in this shot. A beautiful POV with such an interesting depth.
A very sharp image of this market in this historical place.
Well done and enjoy your WE.
My regards,

Francis Xavier

Hi Trudy,

yes, the photo is also busy and with a lot of colours, but, above all, the architectures of Antigua always deserve. In addition the POV you've chosen allows us to have the best overview of the thousand colours of this market.Excellent sharpness and great details definition. All these colours describe marvellously the vitality of the markets in Central America.

Hi Trudy,
Great and full of colors in this market picture,
nice daily life scene and details,
wanderful background on ruined building,
well presented and composed scene.

Hello trudy

Nice capture here of this outdoor market. Awesome capture. Full of bright colors.

Hi Trudy
colorful image.
rich and busy scene.
many items to observe, well captured. clear and sharp.
beautiful vivd colors.
well composed and nicely framed.

Nice vertical frame to show the street market line.
good use of white on the frame to enhance the inner colors.
The left building is greatly located in frame to accomplish a very pleasant and balanced composition.

Did you buy any of those great fabrics?

Hi Trudy,

This is a lovely shot full of beautiful colour. The old ruined building adds a wonderful contrast. Great shot of daily life.

VEry good colours, good note 8:)

I think this is fabulous! It captures the colorful cultural heritage in a well composed and artistically framed manner. The power in the relative distances between the sharply focused foreground to the distant house on the hill is what makes this image so dramatic- a very good travel photo that really captures the beauty and mood of this place- a shot to be proud of Trudy!

Best wishes,

Very interesting scene TRudy. Well captured with good sharpness throughout. Nice colour too. The only downside is that to expose for the market the sky is a little OE. I think a go with the 'burn' tool would have helped. I'll try a WS later when I'm back on my PC - my Mac doesn't have any photo tools!

Good Morning Trudy,

There's so much to absorb and enjoy, here.
I like how you have positioned the goods, from an angle, which creates converging lines to draw the viewer into the shot, and give a good sense of perspective.
The ruined building makes an interesting barrier to prevent the viewer straying from the activity in the market.

Have a good Sunday,
Bev :-)

Hi Trudy..nice shot...the colors and tones work well with the background buildings..nice work.

Hi Trudy,

Hi Trudy,
Great shot of this colourful market scene, the path of colour leads you into the shot to that old crumbling architecture and the jungle beyond, great depth and PoV. Best wishes
