[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have been completely uninspired to take photos lately ... we have had a very cold and very long winter ... another snow storm just yesterday. So I'm anxiously waiting the arrival of spring so I can get out with my camera, and hopefully find my inspiration again.

This was on one side of the town square in Antigua. We spent a lot of time in that square, as it really was the hub of activity in that little city. We spent many hours there, just watching people and soaking up the fantastic culture of the place.

I thought of converting this to B&W, but I liked the bit of muddy brown color on the pillars, and also the little touch of color at the end where the people are. I cropped just a little and boosted levels .. .and added my usual frame :)

Excellent shot, with great perspective and use of light. I agree about not converting this to b&w, and your pp work is just right. I like how the eye travels through the passageway to find the people at the end, enjoying the stonework, the columns, the light fixtures, and the coolness along the way. Well done!

Hello Trudy,
What fabulous depth and composition combined with excellent eposure - all of it giving wonderful atmosphere. Just beautiful. I love B&W but in this case I agree that it was better to leave it in colour. And your usual frame is good too as it does not detract from the image as we so often see...also with the oversized signatures. Well done.

A real good POV here Trudy... lovely shot indeed. B/W would be nice also, but I agree with you on the muddy bown... ;-)
Excellent how you manage to get details all the way in the background! Clever shot...

Hi Trudy,
A wonderful perspective through this archway with a considerable DOF. Perfect light management and sharpness.
It's a clever idea to include people at the end of the archway to create such a lively atmosphere.
Well done for this artistic composition.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

Sharpness and clarity are nice to look.

Nice shot Truday. Great pov and dof. Wonderful detail in the arches and columns. Nice tones and might be interesting in b&w but as is you created a wonderful mood and almost feels like another time. Well done. TFS, Lori

Hi Trudy,

I like the POV here which is the highlight of the show!

The repetitive pattern of the pillars is well seen. Great focus and perfect view with nice sharpness and well chosen DOF.

Great work!
