[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
When we are on a trip, we all want to get some photos. Well, this time, besides my daughter, her husband and I, the youngest of their 3 children (8 years old) wanted to do it too. So here he is, looking for something interesting, while I enjoyed taking photos of him. I have seen several TL photos of children posing very nicely to the camera, but for me, it works better if the children do not know I am taking photos of them.

Hi Maria

You're right, very often candid portraits are the best - or at least ones where the subject is relaxed enough not to care that a photo is being taken!

I'm not sure if this works with the camera obscuring his face, but the light is good and the tilt you've given this shot is unique and interesting.

Very interesting portrait, that kid seems to be really looking for that special shot. I like the way he handles the camera...young pro...maybe a future Ansel Adams..)) Nice work.
I thought a tighter cropping would be appropriate here..so i post it on workshop..)) Hope you'll like.

Hello Maria
I agree the non posed shot is really perfect.. I love his expression.. I'd love to see what he finally shot!
I have an 13 and 11 year old and I encourage them to take many photos. I am always amazed after a hike what they come up with... mostly because I missed it! lol .

Hello Maria,
I loved his curious look and concentration.
Ofcourse he could be rising star :-)

Hi Lorena..this is a nice shot of your grandson...the composition is excellent as are your details and sharpness...nice shot.
