This is a very good choice for formatting as a B&W, and you have done a very good job of getting the tonal ranges just right for this.

There are a huge number of possibilities for philosophical questioning here. I have chosen to answer your question more directly, but this can also be taken philosophically. Haben is looking for the next safe step on his path.

I like railway motives in photography especially in black & white. Nice mood with this guy.
