[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Dear colleagues, this is my last post on TL.
At least for now. Do not know if a decision to reopen. Or when.
Honestly I was left with a bitter taste after all the events of recent times.
"Great photographers" were annoyed that some have more points at a picture.
Okay, and how wrong those who have so many points?
And if they would be criticized in terms civilized and they would have received a good feedback.
But when they criticize almost all pictures as if they had the greatest photographic artists ...
What job do they give their members some of the points of some others?
But they are not the same thing?
I do not want to give name, they know very well those great photographers.
And moderator of the site comes with new rules without having to notify anyone.
I think we live in a free world, democratic.
First must notify members about what is going to do, right?
But he just came and instituted new rules without anyone knowing what happens!
I believe that everyone decides for himself what he wants to do.
Who wants to learn, learn. Who does not.
But what motivation you have to learn, improve yourself, This will happen when things at least strange.
If the only criterion to departaja a member of another is not the point, what is the problem?
Each is free who wants to pay points.
And I took that picture for me was very good. But others are not liked.
I respected their opinion.
And there were pictures that me personally I can not really say anything. And those were successful.
Why so many members have gone on this site?
And to leave and others are convinced.
As always these photographers 'big' pictures commented in a manner ... strictly personal.
Ok are great photographers, but leave them and the other members live and decide who will give themselves points, right?

I want to thank all who have been with the heart.
And I hope that through my photos less how I contributed to this site.

As far as I know, Adrian, these are NO new rules. The only difference is that the moderators have now started to apply the critiquing rules more severely, because a growing number of TrekLens membres did not respect them...

As to your photo. Though I like the general atmosphere and the spring colours, I'm struggling to find a real focus point. Of course, the two big trees in the middleground are sharper than the partially visible tree on the foreground and the trees in the far background, but to me, they also lack sharpness. Could this be due to a slight camera shake?
Given the bright weather conditions, I think you could have used a still faster shutter speed. Maybe a smaller aperture (higher f-value) would also have helped to get the two big trees sharper.

Just my personal view, of course. Feel free to (dis)agree ;o).

It is a shame that you have chosen to leave the site, but I think you are wrong about "new rules." I have been on TL for 4 years and these have ALWAYS been the rules.

I have been aware of people complaining about the "points swappers" for a long time, personally I think it is a good thing that TL is finally showing some integrity about the quality of its critiquing.

I hope you will come to accept change and return, I'm sure you will enjoy it even more!

Je suis vraiment désolée de vous voir quitter le site les uns après les autres...C'est pourtant à travers vous tous que j'aimais me promener le soir sur TL et maintenant,comme dit Carlos(Solrac),la magie s'est éteinte et je cherche désespérément les membres que j'appréciais..
Cela n'est qu'un "commentaire" mais il vient du coeur!
