|A landscape of Foy, near Bastogne|
1945, end of the Battle of the Bulge, the U.S. military creates a military cemetery in 2701 Foy body of Allied soldiers are buried. 46, the U.S. authority decides to repatriate the bodies to the family's request. These returns must be made without interruption until 22/08/48, the official closing date of the cemetery. The military were - according to the wishes of families and free - usa repatriated or sent to other American cemeteries in Europe, the field of Foy returned to its original purpose: agriculture. In 2002, a citizen of Bastogne, decided to erect a memorial at the site of the cemetery provisional Foy. The City of Bastogne accepts this idea, and on 10/09/04, the American faith memorial was officially opened.

A scene I can remember as a lad here in the Uk, the terrain is just the same as here. I like the layers of greenery banked up and the track as it leads us away, very calming image too. Tfs
