[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was down by the river in central Konjic when i saw this broken umbrella riding the waves at a fair speed ,i wanted to take a picture of this so ran down the pebbly river bank a bit farther , adjusted my camera settings and waited for it to pass by me and snapped a couple shots . It was an overcast and a rather fierce windy morning with intermittent rain so the scenario is likely that somebody must have fought some strong blasting of the wind as he/she crossed the old humpback bridge just upstream the powerful wind breaking the handle of the umbrella and snapping it right off the person's hand , it flew off and fell into the water landing in this perfect position .I Thought it made an interesting photo.
Not much PP , just a slight addition of saturation , and contrast , sharpening and added a vignette . Iso 100 , f/5.6 , 1/160 auto white balance in manual mode , no idea why the settings are lost here .
Thank you for looking .

This abandoned and broken umbrella tells a whole story of itself going through different phases after landing in this river water I feel, Carol!

You caught an emotional moment in which light and exposure are brilliant.
The sharpness and contrasts are well kept and colors are natural.
Good job!

J'aime beaucoup.
Merci pour le partage.

An amazing capture and great timing on getting a shot of this umbrella. I wonder what happened to the owner. Very nice composition and I like the vignette. Good dof with sharp details. Very well done, tfs.

Umbrella, symbol of the dome of Heaven in ancient China. In everyday sense the parasol/umbrella represents protection, but here, it is clear that someone lost it. I am glad you captured it in this original photo. Excellent colors and sharpness of the umbrella and excellent background. TFS

A voyageur by sea-n-wind as always... this is a great POV
and an excellent catch and a great details well done

Hi Carol,
excellent capture, the broken umbrella is perfectly positioned in the frame and almost has a 3D quality about it

I like so much your photos...they talk to me. You know so well to communicate by image ( and you write well too).
I like it. It is Carol tag.
