Dutch Lion

The Dutch (Royal) Lion painted on the RNAF F-16 producing smoke trails from the special designed "smoke winders" (derivated from the sidewinder rocket).

Well the orange stands out clearly against the early morning blue sky.

PP work: hardly any, cleaned some dust spots, resized and sharpened using USM.

WOW! You got REALLY close on this Hansie! A TIGER CAT! I hope you get to ride in these things. Beautiful shot, LOVE the smoke trails here Hansie. You can even see the pilot easily! I like the diagonal crop, it's more interesting than a level shot!

Hi Hans,
Vibrant image,Your tight crop really makes this image POP out at you visually. You have certainly captured this "Dutch Lion"
with clarity of details & perfect sharpness. The smoke trails give us the feeling of motion.Well taken IMHO.

THis is very impressive Hans .. couldn't be sharper. You can even see the suns reflection on the pilots helmet. Nicely composed shot .. maybe a little more crop from the bottom ...
Nice work

Hi Hans,

This is super sharp, even the smoke is nicely frozen by your shutter speed. The orange color of the plane contrasts well with the sky, it must be great seeing these birds close up.

Best regards,
Werner

Awesome shot Hansie.
It looks so sharp - as if it's suspended in the air...
You shot it at the best angle and it certainly is very impressive
