Flashing Yellow

The blue sky was a perfect background for this flashing yellow North American T-28 Trojan (in France this type is called the T-28A "Fennec"). The crate is flown by the French pilot André Fleurance a gave a fine show with this good old piston engine powered aircraft.

Used a relatively slow shutter speed (1/250)to capture the propeller blur, to keep it focused and sharp is really a challenge with my Sigma 300mm lens without stabilization. Anyway this is the one I chose to post.

PP work: hardly any a minor adjustment of levels and curves, removed a dust spot, small crop, resized and sharpened using USM.

een prachtige opname ! mooie belichting van de propeller

Yellow and blue work well together as always Hans. Nice sharp capture, just the right amount of blur on the prop and good detail visible in the shadows.

Nice shot.

Cheers

Bom dia Hans
Impressive capture, with so good definition. You win your challenge without doubt. the eyellow plane against the blue sky works perfectly. Congratulations
Um abraço

Hoi Hans,

Goed gedaan!

Hi Hans,

The yellow aircraft looks great against that blue sky. Thanks for your note too, because it's very impressive that you shot this at 1/250 handheld with no stabilization. A great capture of this vintage bird, TFS.

Best regards,
Werner

Hey Hans, it's been ages since i was online. Many things have prevented me from spending time on the site.

it's good to be back, and it's good to see such a great shot.
Yellow and blue...What an excellent contrast. I agree with DAvid (Whiteknight)there.

All round a good shot.
Nice panning, and framing, getting the all important pilot and that almost 3/4 view.
Nice choice of shutter speed.

Good work Hans,

Martin
