I haven't had a chance to use my cameras much recently, so an upload of a photo I took in France over the summer. I spent three weeks in Toulouse - work, not plesure, at the Airbus Training Centre. Happily Airbus put on tours on Sundays. Different weeks go to different places. This trip was to the 'Bassin de Saint-Ferréol'; the man-made lake that provides the water for the 'Canal du Midi'. This runs between Toulouse and Beziers on the Med coast. The Med and Atlantic link-up, as there is another canal from Toulouse to Bordeaux. I intend to head back sometime and cycle the full distance with my wife.

As to the photo. RAW, no PP except for the frame and clone out a dust spot...

Hi David,
I admire your impeccable use of the Sigma 10-20mm wide angle zoom lens! Good light management and a pleasant vivid colored presentation. I like the POV maintaing distortion free corners.
Very neat presentation.
Regards,

Francis Xavier

wow, bright vivid colors against that sky! The clouds kind of point like arrows towards the sails! Really nicely composed shot, perfectly sharp with true colors ... not overly saturated.
Hope all is well :) Heading into autumn here now.

Hello David

The contrast in color and sharpness are second to none. This is an awesome capture of the subject presented here. The POV and overall appeal make this one of the best I have seen today.

Hello David, an excellent DoF and PoV.
The light highlights the bright colours and produces some nice shadows beneath the dinghies.
The simple white frame is perfect.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi David
nice brightness of colored sails enhanced by dark backdrop. the white clouds add pleasant light to the beach scene. good POV for catching the play of shadows on the sand. a lovely summer picture.

Hi David.

This is one of those images i come across and wish I'd have taken it, very jealous of this one.

Amazing colours contrasting, even the 'V' shape to the clouds aids the appeal, love it. tfs

stv ;o))

That is just gorgeous! LOVE the bright colors here David! Super sharp! The clouds are just amazing! I rarely ever shoot at the beach, unless the clouds are there! They just add so much to the shot!

Nice colourful image David. I like the movement of the clouds and the deep blue of the sky from using the polariser. The vibrant colours of the sails contrast so well against it.

Joy

Hi David,
A great shot, I like the composition of the colourful sails in a row. The sky to me is a wee bit too deep blue, I suppose the polarizer effect.

By the way, my cousin who works for Emirates as an engineer says that he knows you. He was for many years stationed in Dubai but now he is stationed at JFK in New York. Small world.

Hi David..nice shot. Excellent composition with great light and colors. Well done.

Roger

Hi David,Love the bright colours and management of the bright sun. The whits of the boats is so crisp.. Fiona

Lovely shot David,
good PoV with nice deep colours -the polarizer has worked really well
cheers

Hello David,
the polariser certainly brought up the gorgeous sky and the row of boats and their bright yellow sails contrast beautifully.
The little red dinghy is a nice plus.
Les.

Perfect image for a travel brochure David.

The lighting makes those sails pop out against that deeply saturated sky, simply stunning.
Cheers,
Pete.

Hi David

Looks natural even though the saturation contrast are high. The polariser has done its job well. Nice colour contrasts between the yellow sails & blue sky. Well composed with adequate breathing space right around. Tfs!

Hi David,

The wideness of the lake is giving depth to the composition. The point of vuew is showing the details and colors of the hobie cats. The quality of the light and using a polariser filter is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre
