[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The lone blue bike at the top of the stairs and the cluster of orange bikes down at the bottom suddenly took on very human characteristics.

Composed in Camera, captured in raw, adjusted levels and colour saturation in raw, converted to jpg, selected bicycles in background and boosted colour saturation on them alone, resized, sharpened edges, signed for posting

Someone PLEASE ride me! lol! So good to see you posting again, Silke! Keep it up! I've missed your wonderful photos on this site. This is super sharp! I have a whole gallery of bikes, the best present a kid can get...well...kids our age!.... Seems that the bike is waiting for someone, this photo tells a nice story. I also like the RED, the bit of RED in the taillight...it busts up the cool beiges and blues in the shot!

Hi Silke,
When I view your images,I immediately want to see if I can give a critique that could improve it.Most times I can't but now & then I can to my eyes. Then I learn from your reaction ,if I was correct or not,which is always a learning curve in itself.With this image,the light,the bike in the shadows, the clarity of the foreground with the DOF that gradually fades into the background & your title,made it difficult to find anything.I tried a tighter crop,I tried viewing it as a vertical,I tried adjusting the lights & darks
nothing.I cloned out the bicycles in the background, leaving only the main bike & this worked in keeping with your title,but not to really improve the composition.So only logical step,is to say well done TFS
