Hello Tekkers,

Yesterday, I had posted a shot of Burg Landskron and this is another capture from the same lcation.
It was once famous as Reichsburg Oppenheim, is a castle ruin located on a high slope in the city of Oppenheim. It is estimated that this castle was constructed in the early 13th century.

It was cloudy on that day and luckily sun started playing hide-an-seek the time I arrived at this site. Going for a higher POV to get better exposure on the textures of the ruined walls of this location was indeed my intention, in addition to preserve the sky was a challenge.

Best regards,

Paras

Hi Paras.

Great moodiness from the blank walls, the gaps of what once was. It must be the dampness captured that gives it this barren feel. This and yesterdays work so well, the angles show much depth and detail.

Hi Paras

I think I prefer this tighter cleaner shot with no distractions at the sides and a closer zoom in. Good sharpness and well managed lighting under tricky conditions. Excellent shadow detail & the higher pov also improves the view too. Tfs!

Bonjour Paras
Great focus on the ruins, great details and colors.
great architecture..TFS

Nice POV Paras. The scene is sharp and the interior part of the shot well exposed. For me the sky is too OE - difficult to deal with I know without ND filters, but there is also the possibility (I think with the D90) to shoot RAW and try a bit of HDR. Or just bracket with a tripod. I do think a deep blue sky with the white clouds would really benefit the photo here.

Still, I like...

Cheers

Well composed, and the exposure problems handled very well. I do think the sky would have benefitted from some work. Still a good shot to be proud of.

Another good perspective with a good view, good sharpness and contrast of textures. You handle well with a difficult sky.

Hi Paras,
Good light management in this rather difficult situation of lighting. Quite sharp details in these ruins. I like the composition from such a high POV.
Well done for this neat work.

Francis Xavier

bonjour Paras
I am surprised to learn it was a medieval castle; At first view I should have more thought to a factory destroyed by fire than to a seven centuruies old castle.I apologize for that.Good light and sharpness and a very good POV
Bonne semaine
