Hi David,

You captured a great moment, "the moment in the life of the bubble before it bursts" :)
A nice geological event is shown here, with great sharpness and from a nice POV. The colors are perfectly shown.

with best regards,

Terrible moment to capture this geiser.Good photo.Regards.Alin.

Fantastic capture of this wonderful natural phenomenon! Brilliant photography at play here!

prywitanne David!
beautiful shot of geizer! I have never seen that! hot water with ice?!amazing!=)

This is a famous and often-photographed phenomenon, and always eyecatching when it happens.

I think your shot here could be more powerful if your subject was less centred. Perhaps just aim the camera higher, so that the bubble is lower in the frame and sits at the lower 1/3rd mark? Possibly aim a little more to the left, as well, to eliminate some of the space - and the half-tourist - on the right side of the frame?

Hello David!
Super capture!
I would like to see this live one day!
Best regards!

I like this one more than the shot of the geyser itself

I have taken the liberty of posting a workshop version of it

I read from your comments that you prefer to get the right shot rather than do PPW

I agree with this but a lot of the time the PPW brigns back out the real inner photo that is not always fully captured by digital photography

Hope you like the work shop its was minor stuff really :)

PS i have see the geyser in action and am working from memory for colours

very impressive David. your timing is really excellent.
I love how the sun reflects in the bubble.
and great colors too, exactly as I remember seeing it just over a year ago.

This is one of the best bubble shots I have seen because you have captured the reflection of the sun and sky in the surface.

Hi David,
Simply fascinating! Good timing. It that a reflection of the sun and clouds on it? I love the blue tinge it has.
