the croping is good and the light is just beautiful, i like the contrst between the light and the darker atmosphere of the basilic!
Well done!

Great Shot Friedrich. (I'm not a churches'fan, but this one is beautiful)
The sun light effect is great. Really good settings of the camera. The erasing of the tourists is invisible, so well done !
Congrat !

Wonderful atmosphere. You captured a magnificent light. Congratulations. I would have only croped a bit from the right side.

Nice capture, the 'divine' lights really makes the mood of this pic. Great pp work also, I have no idea where those tourists were. The only 'nitpick' is the compression on the image, it's really visible on the sharp lines and also on the red cord (makes a jaggued impression). One amazing tip I learned from Zandra (Zto):

"A tip, when down sizing the picture is to do it in several steps. From 1800px to 1500px, then add a small amount of USM. Down size to 1100px, add USM and fiannly to 800px and add USM. In that way you can keep more details and saving for web won't effect it as much."

Hope this helps and thanks for sharing.

How wonderfully you captured the rays of light. The couple walkning next to each other gives perspective to to the largness of the Basilica. Good work Friedrich!

The lighting in this photo is awesome. It lends a lovely ethereal quality to this photo.
