Ponte
La frazione di Ponte ha origini di epoca longobarda, quando vi aveva sede un potente gastaldato che estendeva la sua giurisdizione su tutto il territorio della Valnerina, si trova su un colle a forma di cono, costruita a mt. 441 s. l. m., a spirale lungo un'unica strada, che un tempo raggiungeva la rocca, di cui restano soltanto poche tracce.
Il suo toponimo è legato quasi sicuramente alla presenza nelle vicinanze di un ponte romano, il quale campeggia anche nel suo stemma, oltre che in quello di Cerreto; l'insediamento attuale si divide in diversi nuclei: la rocca costruita nella sommità del colle, il castello sviluppatosi sulla sua strada di accesso, il borgo costruito fuori le mura, la contrada Piazza sviluppatasi intorno alla Pieve e l'abitato più recente sorto lungo le strade che si dipartono dal paese; i primi due sono alquanto disastrati, mentre il resto è stato in gran parte restaurato, anche se ha perso alcune delle sue caratteristiche originali.
Salendo verso la rocca si possono però anche notare le diverse porte di accesso e l'ex Palazzo Comunale, attuale sede della locale Comunanza Agraria, con facciata a cortina e portale romanico, recante lo stemma nella lunetta

The village of Ponte has origins dating back to Lombard, where there resided a powerful steward, which extended its jurisdiction over the whole territory of the Nera Valley, is located on a hill shaped like a cone, built at Mt. 441 s. l. m, a spiral along a single street, which once reached the fortress, of which few traces remain.
His name is almost certainly linked to the presence nearby of a Roman bridge, which also stands in his arms, as well as that of Cerreto, the current settlement is divided into different groups: the fortress built in the top of the hill, the castle developed its access road, the town built outside the walls, the district developed around the Parish Church Square and the town built along the newer roads that branch off from the country, the first two are pretty devastated, while the rest was largely restored, although it has lost some of its original features.
Going up to the fortress, however, you can also see the different doors and to the former Town Hall, current home of the local agrarian community, with curtain walls and Romanesque portal bearing the coat of arms in the lunette

I like all the different angles in this shot Silvio, they draw the eye right into the shot. There are some nice textures in the stone too. The composition works well, as the eye eventually settles on the archway and looks through on to the misty hillside in the background.

I lke your pov and dof very much. I really creates a sense of depth. The colour of stone is very naturaland attractive. The fact that it seems a dmap and cloudy day doesnt affect the enjoyment of the shot. Nice job

Except for the fact that picture could be a tad sharper but overall I like the POV you have chosen for capturing the graphism in this location, Silvio!

Light and exposure are quite nicely handled, and colors are natural.
Good sharpness and clarity in the picture with an amazing landscape in the BG.
