Birdseye view of Riga

A morning view to the north-west from the tower of the St. Peter church in the centre of Riga.

The weather was very clear and the panorama was awesome, you could watch for miles and miles. On purpose I enclosed the shadow of the tower pointing toward the town square.

And yes the water of the Daugava river was that blue!

PP work, adjusted levels and curves, increased contrast a bit while decreased the brightness with the same amount. Used the lens correction filter to eliminate the barrel effect of the horizon. Resized and sharpened, add small frame.

HI Hans,
A wonderful bird's eyeview of the city of Riga. Great clarity and perfect color saturation. Light is just fantastic and the POV is magnificent.
You let us know that you are on the tower which shadow is cast of the buildigs!
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Beautiful work Hansie! This is REALLY sharp! I like the wide angle lens for this type of shooting! Even though there is a curve to the horizon, I like to KEEP it most times, because it's just more interesting than straighting it! I l like the extreme view! Good job!

great point of view and perspective!
Love the view and the prettiness of it all
