|The most prominent landmark of Vaduz the capital city of Liechtenstein is its castle , home of the reigning prince and the Liechtenstein princely family. The Vaduz castle is visible from anywhere in town being perched atop a steep hill in the middle of the town of 5,100 inhabitants. From this vantage point you can view the buildings set against snow-covered mountains as the country is the only one to lie entirely within the Alps .The square tower to the left dates from the 12th century , the castle has 700 years of history , it has been in the possession of the prince of Liechtenstein since 1712 , it is not open to the general public.|
Shot this on a grey day ,scanned , converted to B&W , removed some noise with Neatimage , minor curve adjustments, some sharpening , a thin black frame,
thanks for looking,

Jolie carte postale de Vaduz et du Château accroché à cette montagne, excellent point de vue et détails en noir et Blanc. superbe contraste et composition..
tous mes compliments
Merci de ta visite..
Boa noite carol
Í haven´t be there ...but it looks great...very "inacessecible"...you had choose a great place to make your photo. fine sharpness, good focuson ...and I like so much those mountains with snow in the bg. Great architecture and amazing nature...that´s our Earth.
That castle is indeed a prominent landmark. I love castles !
I think it was a good choice to present it in b/w. There are over exposed parts, but that is not a problem in b/w. Also a good choice to add a thin black frame.
Hi Carol ,
A beautiful POV is chosen with great DOF,the details are fine with good exposure and nice sharpness, the B&W mood well illuminated the building and the BG snowy mountain, well captured and a beautiful presentation.
HI Carol...nice black and white shot of Liechtenstein...you showed the height of this castle very well..nice work.
