[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken at St. Lucia Chinese Garden whilst I was wondering about searching for a good macro shot of a drop on that rainy day. I found this particular tree of thorns and thought of linking the message between tear drops and pain.

Amazing Keith! I really love all the emotion brought out in this, so the title really suits it. The rain/tear drop analogy as well as the way we can still tell the branch is thorny in the background really does speak of pain. Excellent with the background and the image in the rain drop in black and white to make this somber, and the stem of the branch subtly popping out in color. Wonderful shallow depth of field that makes the drop pop out and the dark tones in the background at the bottom indistinct but adding to the mood and tones. Great clarity and detail and perfect composition and horizontal framing with the water droplet at the right lower corner while the branch comes from the upper left. Very suitable black bold frame with a line of white to tie in with the tones of the shot and emphasizing its simplicity and beauty. Really expressive, TFS!

Witaj Keith,

It's so... beautiful and clear... :] lovely reflections on the drop.
Well done & TFS

This is extremely well taken Keith, the detail and sharpness in the water drop, is only made more noticeable from the blurred BG after the drop

Well done

what a shot! really like the reflection.

Very sharp and well done, Keith!
You´ve done a good job.
It is rainning in Recife right now and there are probably tear drops and pain around here, too.
With my best wishes,
