[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
At this moment I'm reading a book about B/W photography. I own that book for many years already, but until now I didn't do much with it.

One of the chapters deal with Volume and Texture of the subject, and how to capture that correct.

That inspired me to do some experiments. While converting the RAW photo, I made some adjustments with Gamma and Exposure, resulting in this funny image in which the Advocado has its after-burner switched on.

I uploaded the "normal one" as a workshop.
By the way: it is captured as HDR.

Thanks for watching.

Olá Joop
I like the idea and the execution...maybe the light inside will be the solution of the "darkness". Good HDR. Different and interesting
Um abraço

I am impressed that you can do wonders with your PP work and that too when combined with your imagination, Joop!

Amazing presentation and perfect display of your skills.
The colors are fantastic and contrasts are praiseworthy.
Well thought and nicely executed!

Thanks to your book! :)

Kind regards,

Hi Joop,
What a stark contrast to the original. Excellent PP work, love the colours, and the silken and glowing look of the fabrc.

Hi Joop,
Like the back light effect here, nice composition (within the rule of thirds). The choice for the sepia tone is a good one.

Hi Joop

I like the aura effect around the avocado. Good sharpness & contrasted lighting with excellent shadow detail & texture visible on the outer skin. Well composed using the rule of thirds. Tfs!

Bom dia Joop,
Both are good, the "original" and the original as WS. ;-)
This one is a very good experiment with excellent result.
Like particularly the lights.

Hi Joop,

Great experiment, you have certainly caught the texture in the avocado superbly and brought a bit of humor into your creativity. I like it a lot. Best wishes

I think this is more like "radioactive avocado!" Very creative presentation and I like it! Love the color and it has a good dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

Hello Joop, an interesting experiment!
Strong contrasting textures. The 'glow' really brings the shot to life.
There is nothing wrong with the original but this shot is much the better choice.
Tfs, regards
