The following story inspired me to this photo:

A bit of Stew.
-------------

A japanese lord was out hunting when he got separated from his followers and became lost.

Eventually, tired and hungry, he reached the hut of an old peasant woman who sat out front cooking a pot of stew.

"I'll give you anything you ask if you let me rest in your hut and eat some of that stew," said the lord.

"You've got nothing I want," replied the old woman.

"I have money," said the lord.

"What use is that to me. Do you see any shops around here?"

"I could give you an important position in my household," replied the lord.

"Oh, just what I need. I've got my own hut and my own stew. Why would I want to live under your roof, eat your food, and have to do what you tell me ?"

"I'm cold, and tired, and hungry," said the lord rather pitifully.

"You should have said. In that case you better come in and have something to eat."

Hi Joop

Looks delicious! Good color, saturation & sharpness & I like the angled, diagonal pov. Excellent lighting contrasts & tonal range. Tfs!

I just had breakfast but this makes me hungry again! Nicely captured with good dof and nice details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

I like the story you mentioned in the accompanied note, Joop!

The picture is wonderfully taken with amazing sharpness and light management.
The colors are natural and food looks delicious.
Well caught!

Dag Joop,
Ces brochettes me donnent l'eau la bouche.
Joli contraste entre les couleurs du plat et le gris du reste.
Bravo,
Jean-Pol

Hi Joop,
What a delicious dish you prepared for us! Or it's only an image...you opened my apetite!
Fine details and good choice of shallow DOF.
I think light is adequate.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier
