Is this an Ennie Award ?

Well decisions, decisions...the whole day making decisions, I was fed up with that so I asked Ennie to chose out of three of my pictures today. Two of the images got disasters’ critiques, so after a brake to get recovered from the blasting disappointment she was mild in her critique of this picture. But if it is an Ennie Award, I don’t know.

Here again the Muiderslot (Castle of Muiden) but now seen from the North-East. The building on the left is from recent date and is the entrance to the Castle gardens.

the Castle looks lovely and interesting;
regards Karolina

Hello Hans,
very nice with good sense of depth, colours are well developed and not overpowering or unnatural, the dark atmosphere is well done!
regards,
Siggi

hahahhaah it's an "Ennie" award alright Hans...
Not that I'd like my 'name' asigned to any kind of award... I mean.. who am I???

I really like the natural framing of this image and the view is really fantastic... lovely look from across the water to the house and the castle in the background...
the colors and light are wonderful here....
Well worth the two points I must say!

Cheers,
Anneke (Ennie)

Gee sure hope you recover from that blast. lol Do you exaggerate at all ???? :) Well it made for a cute note and a good laugh. Thanks for that! Another really gorgeous castle! I love the architecture, colors, pov, lighting...well, everything really!! TFS and have a happy day!

Bonsoir Hansie,
I don't know what the other two proposals photographs shown to Anneke but it's a good choice, with the pond near the house where you can see the castle. The foreground dark that the light comes gradually illuminated for us in a good light. It's perfect!
Heartily, Corinne

How about a Silver Excellence Blue Ribbon Award ? ;-)
I love the colours, the Pov, the composition, the light in this one.
As to critique ratings? I think TL is just very slow because of midsummer vacations
Great job

Hi Hans,
Great shot, I like the POV and you have good colours and sharpness, this looks like an interesting place to visit with plenty of photo opertunities, it might be me but it looks to lean slightly to the right.
Well done
Regards Andy

It looks like a fairytale setting Hans, with the castle towers.
That ENNIE sounds a bit scary though! But I do like Silke's renaming of it: Silver Excellence Blue Ribbon Award
How about Excellent No Nonsense Inspired Event
Personally, I would prefer the frame to be a lot smaller - the scene looks too small with that frame (IMHO)
But the image is crisp and clear - an expected pleasing result from your n*k*n camera.
Cheers
Janice

En weer heb je die rete-saaie k.dt-gracht mooie weten te compenseren Hans, dit ziet er prachtig uit, goed gezien jochie!

I must agree with Janice Hans, in this instance the blackness of the frame is far too heavy, narrower would have suited this image nicely. The photo itself is most impressive with good colour, detail and perspectives,
David

I missed this yesterday Hansie! What a view! Excellent details, love how you control that sky! B-) The fact that you work in an airport helps! Wonderful color here too and the framing works great!

Hoi Hans,

Mooi hoe het ford hier een beetje gevangen is in het groen. Geeft meteen een heel ander gevoel aan deze plaat.

Dennis
