[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In Greek mythology, Nike (Greek Νίκη, pronounced /'nike/ "NEE-keh", meaning "Victory") (Roman equivalent: Victoria), was a goddess who personified triumph and victory. She was capable of running and flying at great speeds. Nike was the daughter of Pallas and Styx and the sister of Cratos, Bia, and Zelus. Nike and her siblings were all companions of Zeus.

SUPER ironical; so powerful and at the same time so vulnerable.
Great transformation from stone to flesh and the helpness nail'distortion'.
You enjoy this! I know.
I do too.

Some one has to say this first so it may as well be me.
Bigfoot evidence now firm! Dutch photog captures first 'concrete' evidence of its existence - now irrefutable proof!
The wings are an anomaly, though.
OK, so it's Nike.
Whose foot is this really?
Good pp, Ruud. Could have been better with a little colouring to suit? Even more convincing if it matched up? I know - this is exactly as you intended. ;)
Either way, 9.5/10 from Manila Jury.

Hi Ruud,

LOL... It's like the foot of a giant, of a titan (to refer to the Greek Mythology, as you did). Your composition is very well presented and composed; the foot seems so naturally placed in the forest! I like the combination of the real foot and the marble/rock (?) wing. Very good job! And very informative note! :)
Well done!

Hi Ruud,

Very nice capture. Interesting note too!! Wonderful PP work. TFS.

From thumbnail i imagine you fix your foot on a tree log. I like the transposition and the mythologic allusion! :)

Hello Ruud,
Your photograph makes me laugh! Good humour and pretty wink with mythology. Excellent work of PP. I imagined this goddess with more feminine feet. But as she has much way to do, I imagine that she put on more often espadrilles (Nike) than italian fancy escarpins. That's why the foot are in fan-shaped and nails of toe without varnish! :)
Well done!

Hi Ruud,

Ha haaa :) You'd have a job trying to find a training shoe to fit that foot :)

Great detail colour and lighting. Good note too, Excellent!

one day i'd hope to do pp work like this , until then i'll just watch you guys. great note on the nike.
love the transformation and color composition.

Hi Ruud, another very creative and well-PPed image. Congrats on your ongoing work - always a pleasure to view.

Great imagination, creative and masterful PP work. This is a Ruud trade mark image, very original combination of stone and flesh.

super pp you are great with this kind of photography Bravo.
great job
a 9 for you

Wow! Perfect work! You made the gradient passing so perfect from stnoe to real foot. Congrats, amazing work Ruud!

hoi ruud,
mooi beeld, goed gedaan.
maar bij Nike, een godin, had ik me wat elegantere voet voorgesteld. Groetjes Giuseppe. 8,5/10 ...
