Hoi Rob,
Prachtige close-up van deze phant! Excellent capture well presented.

Good sharpness and lighting is very well done. Clarity is perfect and it is just overall a great picture. It seems like I can just lean through the computer and touch it.
Thanks for sharing,

hi rob,
nice capture.
like especially your framing, great !
very good lightning and great details.
TFS - carole

The details in his face are really nice Rob! Such a big fella, he takes up the whole frame!!

Now with a bit (or a lot) of wrinkle cream, that face could be softer :-).
Excellent capture. Good sharpness and details.

Hi Rob,
Details are superb. Nice shot. Well done

Hi Rob,

Good shot and you got close well to the elephant with the help of those big lens. Was the picture cropped or the picture was orginaly like this? If was cropped then i would have prefered the complete view of the mouth from lower which looks like a little bit cropped.

But love the details. Well done and TFS.

hi mr viking,

i like your exposure here!great clarity too.
just a sad look on this elephant :-( but he was probably happy that you did pay attention on him :-).

Gee Rob this is so nice. Good closeup and only 50 mm lens is great work. Are you going to buy that Sigma you ytalked about in last email? (looked fine to me after reading the specs) TFS

WOW! Great sharp details and what a stunning pov! Very well captured picture!

Nice pachiderm! When we went to the Calgary Zoo, they were rebuilding the Elephant compond, so couldn't get good pictures, whereas in Vienna, I only took video (poor still quality).
This is a very good closeup with lots of sharpness and details.

Groots; ja dat zou een goede omschrijving zijn voor deze foto! Heel erg indrukwekkend alweer Rob.

Hi Rob
I have been away for some few days, now I am back and I can say some few words...Excelletn, brilliant job, TFS.

Hi Rob,

I captured this animal last week end, but can't get a proper angle . . You did great capturing with fine detail and right moment . .

Same comment as last photo ..... :-)

Je had de slurf even uit het frame moeten laten steken.

Mooie plaat met mooie kleuren. Ik kan de huid bijna voelen !

This looks very delicious. Makes you hungry.
Very sharp and detailed. Fine colours.

Hi Rob,
Wonderful control of the lighting, great colors and fantastic details...I think this one needs botox too! Thanks for sharing,

Great capture. I like the contrast the green plant in his mouth creates with the dull grey of the elaphant.

Hi Rob!Great shot and nice work!

Excellent details on his skin and teeth, Rob. A nice close-up, something one doesn't see often in elephant pics.

Hi Rob,
A nice profile shot of this prehistoric-looking elephant, massive in size, and yet very gentle-looking. Great color and detail, and a nice memento from a great day.
All the best,

Hello Rob,
Bold framing of the big guy!
Good details are captured in the hide, impressive...
I like to se he is actiually eating, adds action and some splash of green!

Hello Rob,
this grey giant looks quite satisfied with his meal.
Mice portrait with great details on skin and eye under perfect light conditions.
Very well seen and done. TFS Thomas

Nicely cropped/composed Rob. Good colour and lovely detail in that lined face. Judging by the size of the tusk only a youngster too. TFS,

Many thanks for your comment on ‘City Park VIII’

Just great shot of this elephant eating!! Very well done! As a kid I remember a small circus came to town & I got to help feed the elephants, including a baby! A great memory & this photo made me remember! :} Don

Very well done Rob. Great, sharp shot, even the texture of the elephant skin can be seen well. Simply excellent. The tasteful framing's a plus. Congrats, tfs. Regards, László
