Dordrecht again, the other side of the town .

A view again from lovely Dordrecht, the more ''neglected child ' between Rotterdam and Breda.

A town..in my view ..worthy to pay a vissit.

Many nice historic places (food) for your camera, and excellent cosy pubs and Restaurtants.. well .. see a few of my privious photo's!

Let the photo speak for itself and I hope you all had a good flirtation with Easter Bunny today Folks!

Kind regards

John T

Hi John,

Old cities located at the big rivers are always very attractive and more so if you know how to capture them and if the weather is co-operating a bit.
Lovely work John,

Hoi Sir John,

Such a magnificient view is seen here in which nature and civilization are providing a charming combination. Fine details and excellent presentation. A fabullous image, well done my friend.

Thanks for sharing this image.

P.S: After a long time I logged in because of my exhaustive semister in the university and then exams. Please excuse my absense.

Merhaba Dear John,
Cok Guzel Compo.Very nice architecture.Congrats!!!
Selamalar Istanbul'dan.

Bonsoir mon ami John,
A small city bathed by water with houses with the architecture of the frontages typically of your country. One leaves a small channel to go obviously towards a more important inland waterway...
The angle of your POV is well seen, I like him. And of the spring colors, the light is still soft in this season.

Bonjour John
There is a great number of cities I would like to visit and this one is included.I love your photos for the angle you choose and your composition in which the presence of water is important like this one here.Nice blue sky, neat buildings, threes everywhere and no crowd. I like it

Mooie natuurlike opname
En er lekker boven op in Dordrecht
Heel realistisch !

Never been to the Netherlands, but I hear it's a magnificent place. I hold it dear to my heart because of one of my favorite painters, Vincent Van Gogh, who was born in a town close to Breda (Groot-Zundert)...so apparently not far from this place which you kindly and beautifully photographed and shared with us. Excellent composition, perspective and presentation!

Another nice view on Dordrecht, John, though a bit tilted to the left (ccw). Good idea to include the left bit of the quays with the tree branches, to show dimension. And... beautiful colours as well.

A few things- John.
1.) I cannot believe that you'd encourage/endorse/approve of someone posting a photo that has been removed 2 times already.
2.) In the photo (which she now has posted as a WS) She had a camera in her hand, I do not know but it appeared like someone else took the photo.
3.) I didn't know of this incident until I saw this in the notes on your image here. I think mentioning a photo that has been removed is much like discussing disabled accounts. I have been lambasted for much less than this. Of course my photography sucks and I'm not in the ranks of the popularity of the "100 point per average photo". Do you believe that some people post "average" photos and get raving reviews for them? Hard to believe. Sorry for ranting on this one but I had to mention about your notes, I made it a comment. My apologies, perhaps I can return with a useful critique.

Nice colour and detail John and well composed. An interesting frame but I feel some sort of perspective correction, especially the verticals would have enhanced the architecture even more. TFS,

Many thanks for your comment on ‘An Easter Offering…’

Hi John,

Your photo from Dordrecht convinced me to write this name on the list for my next trip in Holland. Very beautiful place and you captured very well the spirit of the town. Congratulations!

You know your tired when you forget to press the 'add' button. I do not remember what I wrote the first time I saw this, but the second look makes me truly hope that one day I can visit it in person. love how you included the tips of the branches on the left. Beautifully taken TFS

Hello John,
The bright side of Dordrecht!
A lovely postcard like image with many fine elements...
A strong diagonal composition with good details in the characteristic architecture!
Pablo -

Cette photo présente une très belle architecture. De plus, le cadre ajoute relief à la photo, excellent choix de cadre.

Hi John, you captured a very picturesque neighborhood in a very good lightness.
A very nice place for walks and capturing.
