[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the Sognefjord, the longest fjord in Norway and one of the most beautiful and dramatic places I have ever seen. While it is crowded in the summer there is almost no one here in the winter. As the boat travels from Gudvangen to Aurland each turn on the fjord give a dramatic view like this. It is a little difficult to hold the camera still when the temperature is below freezing and you have to hold back the shivering!

Hello Roger, the water looks like a sheet of glass.I can't really imagine just how cold it is, but with these tones, I am shivering already!
It looks a wonderful place, tfs.
Regards Jean.

Boa noite Roger,
Sometimes photography is more than a passion. It's a destination. You are living proof of this, as were the great artists that any of us can nominate.
By your Technical Note it's possible to imagine the effort you expended to get this magnificent photo.
It was worth it.

A kind of place that makes silence in the soul

Impressive and beautiful landscape, almost in B&W.

Incredible Roger...wow...what a wonderful place !!
Beautiful and very dramatic place , with all the quality of a good photograph.
Bravo and thanks for sharing it with us !!

Incredible and accurate shot from a perspective, crispness and framing point of view. The water is stunning. Good shot.

Hi Roger
I love the low point of view, it's like being in the water. The mountains on either just drag the eye into the scene. The low clouds add drama e and the lack of colour makes it feel cold, which, of course it is.

I like the POV and also the mist in between the hills of this very lonely looking place on earth.
