|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Dale54 has posted a few shots recently that I quite enjoyed where the subject is in focus and the rest is slightly blurred.|
I have tried the technique here but I may have overdone the Gaussian blur - anyway I quite like the effect.
It looks like it may fit into the Friday theme

Hi Jack,I would say it fits the theme, but not sure if you got the same effect as Dale54,though its pretty close.I think that the Orton effect comes close to Dale54s effect. If you would care to try it out click om my gallery then on photos, choose North America>Canada>Western then click on page21,look for Mellow Yellow & I wrote some instructions for using the Orton Effect on an image, hope you give it a try.

I like your way of thinking and that you are taking in some of the styles seen here on TL.
I like the subject, although not too sure about the foreground inflatable being so close thus being out of focus.
It certainly want to be looked at and of a sunny place in need of a visit.

The image leaves me wanting to get those blurred portions within focus. I feel that blurring images will help with nature landscapes only. But you like the effect so, maybe I need to have a deeper insight of it.

I think it is a very nice effect with a sharp centre and blurred edge portions, photo looks a little softly and romantically, bravo
