Last Friday the world slipped from under our feet; Koala’s “mucousy”, red rectum came back out but she was still happy and hungry as a lion anyway!

On Saturday my bowels just wouldn’t move and I’m only four months old, man! They say that this problem normally arises at old age.
Later, my hanging bowel got darkish and at the end of my butt was an internal “tumurous” mass that kept on growing. My rescuer, who is now my new owner, kept on asking herself, “Could that be an abscess or impacted stool?!”
Sunday was horrible, I didn’t eat or drink, my butt was horrendous; I was in pain!
Monday morning: I’m still alive and off to the vet we go again. The vet says, “She’s full of impacted stool, we’ve got to operate!”
Oh no, I’m trapped again. My rescuer abandoned me; she dumped me at the clinic! Wait ‘til I get my claws on her!

At this moment, Koala is being operated on. We’re keeping our fingers crossed, hoping for the best.

Hi Lurdes,

Great idea of creating this kind of composition . .
Yellow eye with blue bars are perfectly match . .
Very sharp image . .
Well done

Hi Lurdes,

A picture with impact. It is always so terrible to bring them to the Vet. They just don't understand that you are trying to do all you can to help. If your sister had not stepped in in the beginning the cat would have been dying in a most terrible way.
And indeed mrs. Cat can get catty when she feels offended, but never mind, she will settle down eventually.
Very good photo job here.

Ciao Lurdes, I hope that now it's all ok, splendid yellow eyes and great composition, very well done, ciao Silvio

All the best for you and for cat!

Hi Lurdes

I am a bit behind looking at all the nice photos on TL. I hope Koala is far better by now after the operation. This photo really shows her pain. Poor kittie!

Beautiful detail and expression here.
